About the Program

  • Foundation for Innovation and Research in Science and Technology (FIRST), IIT Kanpur announces Young Professionals Program (YPP) to offer budding talent an opportunity in supporting incubation and innovation in the country and develop themselves into capable professionals.
  • YPP extends an exposure across functions and programs to potential young talent to assess their abilities, help them build skills, experiment with their capabilities, and craft their talent to emerge as competent professionals
  • The incumbents of the program acquire exposure to the following:

Startup Support:

  • Facilitating and assisting the Federation and Zila Unions in the procurement of goods, works, and services in accordance with the approved procurement plan
  • Assisting the Federation in preparing, updating, and monitoring procurements in accordance with the approved procurement plan.

Startup Support:

  • Consistently create well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development, including mobile and responsive site design.
  • Create websites and user interfaces, using standard HTML/CSS practices, while incorporating data from back-end databases and services

The Young Professionals Program (YPP) is an entry-point for an exciting journey at SIIC IIT Kanpur. Every year the incubator onboards a cohort of dynamic, fresh graduates with an aim to make them the leaders of tomorrow.

A YPP is exposed to the ongoing programs allowing the young talent to assess their abilities, help them nurture interdisciplinary skills, experiment with their capabilities, and craft their talent to emerge as competent professionals.


Graduate in Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Management/ Business Administration/ Development Studies/ Social Work/ Economics/ Commerce or any other relevant streams with <=2 years of professional experience can apply for the role of YPP.
