A Metamaterial Based Wearable and A Method Thereof

Non-Confidential description of the invention

A metamaterial-based wearable is disclosed. The metamaterial-based wearable includes a first layer composed of a first fabric printed with a predefined pattern, wherein the predefined pattern includes an optical camouflage pattern integrated with an optical stealth. The metamaterial-based wearable also includes a second layer composed of a dielectric material. The second layer is configured to provide electrical insulation from the first layer. The metamaterial-based wearable further includes a third layer which includes a first side and a second side. The third layer is configured to provide electrical conductivity within the second fabric. The first layer, the second layer and the third layer are fabricated using a screen-printing technique. The metamaterial-based wearable microwave absorber may be used in stealth technology by enabling radar absorbing clothing for personnel, vehicle skirting, canopies, covers for radar equipment and other strategic installations.
