A Method for Coating on Lignocellulosic Fibrous Material Substrate to Facilitate Building Electronics

Paper as a substrate to build electronics is becoming attractive and important. A technology is identified and developed to provide a coating layer on top of the substrate so that we can build devices on them. A method for coating on a lignocellulosic fibrous material substrate in facilitating building electronics is disclosed. The method includes placing a lignocellulosic fibrous material sheet of a predefined size on a coater platform. The method also includes preparing a stock solution of at least one polymer material of polyvinyl family, wherein the at least one polymer material of polyvinyl family includes Polyvinyl formal (PVF), Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) or Polyvinyl Acetate (PVAc). The method further includes coating the lignocellulosic fibrous material sheet placed on the coater platform with the stock solution. The method further includes baking a coated lignocellulosic fibrous material sheet at a predefined temperature range to prepare a lignocellulosic fibrous material sheet substrate. The method further includes coating the lignocellulosic fibrous material sheet substrate with a metal layer to build an electrode of an electronic device. In a specific embodiment, the electronic device may include an organic solar cell.
