A System for Measuring Nutrient in the Soil and Method Thereof

The present invention discloses a portable, hand-held, and modular device for measuring the concentration of macro- and micro-nutrients in the soil which is compatible with a mobile application. The device is based on the principle of ion selective electrode. With very low power consumption the device can be powered using smartphone through an OTG cable. The device measures the available nutrients in the soil in real time and recommend amount of fertilizers accordingly. The app has an option to store the fertilizers and crop data to get the optimized amount of fertilizer needed for a particular crop with specified field size.
