The invention relates to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, and more particularly relates to a four-rotor helicopter (quadrotor) powered by fuel engine, and its mechanism for its flight control. Object of the present invention is to provide a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle with significant improvement of 100% or more in flight time compared to existing commercially available battery powered quadrotor of similar size and payload. It also provide a mechanism for the control of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle by changing the pitch of the rotor blades which results in manipulating the thrust of each of the rotor/propeller facilitating vehicle control. It is a design of a quadrotor UAV that used a single fuel engine to control all the four rotors. Further, the quadrotor UAV comprises the variable pitch mechanism that facilitates the vehicle control by changing thrust and torque of each of rotor by changing the pitch angle of the rotor blades. The device is an improvement over the conventional battery powered quadrotors.
