Invention is a Structure Light Based 3D Sensor for Human Hand Detection. It relates to tracking and extracting information from objects, such as the hand of a user, in three-dimensional space using optical sensors, and more particularly it is a system, apparatus and method for visual detection and tracking of human hand from a structured light based three-dimensional (3D) sensor data. It is a mechanism for hand detection in real time irrespective of visible illumination levels, background motion, foreground clutter, gesturing speeds and user distance.
