Method of Detecting Adeno-associated Virus (AAV) Sequences
Non-Confidential description of the invention
This invention provides a method for detection, identification and/or isolation of sequences of AAVs from DNAs from various tissue samples, also provides novel primer sets which are effective in detecting AAV sequence. Also, this invention relates to a method for detecting and isolating Adeno Associated Virus (AAV) sequences in a sample. Provided herein is a method of detecting and identifying adeno-associated virus (AAV) sequences in a sample by PCR. Further, provided herein are novel primer pairs that aid in detection and identification of AAV sequences in a sample. The invention confirms the utility of the novel primers described for detecting latent AAV genomes and the genetic diversity of AAV isolates in human tissues. Further, the novel variants identified in the present invention can find utility as a gene delivery vector.
