Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) Nanoparticles and Process of Synthesizing the Same for Ligand Free Intra-Nuclear Delivery of Drugs

The present invention relates to a process of synthesizing polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanoparticles for ligand free intra-nuclear delivery of drugs. The method comprises preparing solid core-mesoporous shell (SCMS) silica particles. Further, the SCMS silica particles are added to a solution of PDMS to form a mixture. The mixture is centrifuged for a predetermined time. The mixture is incubated for atleast 16 hours. The mixture is cured at a predetermined temperature of 100°C and a predetermined time of 9 hours. The mixture is etched with ammonium fluoride buffered HF solution and washed to obtain PDMS nanoparticles.
