The theme of the BSBE winter symposium–2022 (16th -18th December 2022) at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE), IIT Kanpur, is focused on the "Recent Trends in Cancer Research and Precision Medicine". The overarching aim is to understand cancer by bringing leading scientists and clinicians/oncologists to one platform, who have been engaged in cutting-edge research in the broader areas of cancer biology, cancer diagnosis, cancer genetics, therapeutics, and precision medicine. The symposium aims to dive deep into the knowledge in the fast-progressing fields associated with cancer management gained over the years. It would provide an excellent platform for academicians, scientists, and clinical experts to share their knowledge ranging from novel biomarkers to cutting-edge imaging, diagnostic solutions, evolving chemotherapeutics, and, novel immune-targeting paradigms thereby, bringing forth tangible solutions for treatment and management of this deadly disease. The three-day symposium will be inclusive of talks from eminent cancer biologists/clinicians and poster sessions that will provide young aspiring scientists exposure to this evolving field.
