Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) is a scheme by the Ministry of MSME to promote Cluster development for livelihood generation. Tribal Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (TRIFED) is the Nodal Agency to promote Cluster development for tribal beneficiaries. FIRST IIT Kanpur, has been entrusted to provide guidance as a Technical agency to various implementing agencies for establishing tribal entrepreneurial clusters. The initiative comes with a primary objective of empowering the rural/tribals artisans by enhancing the marketability of their products and equipping them with appropraite infrastructure for the same.

Rs 2.5 cr for a cluster of less than 500 artisans
Rs 5 cr for a cluster of more than 500 artisans
Organize the traditional industries and rural artisans into clusters to make them competitive and provide them with sustained employment
Enhance the marketability of their products by providing support for new products, design intervention and improved packaging
Promotion of skill development and capacity building among traditional artisans of the associated clusters through training, exposure visits, and giving them access to appropriate equipment
Strengthening the cluster governance systems with an active participation from stakeholders
Building innovative and traditional skills, improved technologies, advanced processes, market intelligence and new models of public-private partnerships
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) foundations with expertise incluster development are encouraged to participate as Implementing Agencies.
