Overview

ASEAN-India Startup Festival 2022 ( a flagship project to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the ASEAN - India Partnership) is an event for celebrating and strengthening cooperation & collaboration in science and technology so as to establish the ASEAN- India partnership for peace, progress, and shared prosperity. The event would see the participation of key players involved in the development of the startup ecosystem (Government Bodies, Startups, Research Institutes, Inventors, Investors and Incubators, etc).

ASEAN-India StartUp Festival 2022 is being hosted in Indonesia in conjunction with the Indonesia Research and Innovation Expo (INA-RIE) by the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia. Startup Incubation & Innovation Centre (SIIC) IIT Kanpur is the lead coordinator from India. The Startup festival is supported by Department of Science & Technology.

Eligibility


  • Any Indian startups (51% shareholding must be with Indian Shareholders) who have developed at least a beta prototype of their product are eligible for the ASEAN- India startup festival.
  • The product should have a positive impact on Sustainable Development Goals (Read more about SDGs).
  • Preference shall be given to startups having products relevant to the ASEAN market.
  • The Founder of the startup should have a valid passport. ( Please note that the intra-travel and accommodation support in Indonesia will be valid for only one person/representative from each startup).

Application Process


  • Step 1

    Call for applications for eligible startups.

  • Step 2

    Round 2 Evaluations (to be conducted by external evaluation committee).

  • Step 3

    Round 2 Evaluations (to be conducted by external evaluation committee).

  • Step 4

    Submission of necessary documents (Passport, Visa, etc).

  • Step 5

    Exhibition and Showcasing events at ICC BUILDING, CIBINONG SCIENCE CENTER, BOGOR, WEST JAVA INDONESIA.

Key Informations


  • A maximum of 30 Startups (from the Indian Side) shall be shortlisted for the delegation.
  • The Air fare (both ways) shall be borne by the startup.
  • Partner with businesses for expansion in the Asian market.
  • Fooding , Lodging and event related transport in Cibinong (related to event activities) shall be borne by the organizer.
